Clubs

Ferber has a variety of extracurricular activities that students may be interested in. Students are able to sign up for these programs during the school year. Safety Patrol, Peer Mediators, and Peer Helpers have some training prior to starting in these programs. That training occurs at school.

Breakfast Club

The Breakfast Club is a club for any 4th, 5th, and 6th graders interested in making a difference in our community and school through our students. The Breakfast Club meets twice a month on Wednesday mornings at 7:30 a.m.  Some of the service projects have included: fundraising for breast cancer, the warming shelter, area wildlife preserves, and the Humane Society.

We also have food drives for the Salvation Army, St. Joe’s, and Blessings in a Backpack. The Breakfast Club proudly sponsors Spirit Days at school and loves to spearhead "Kindness Week” each year.  The list of activities goes on and on and we have loads of fun at our meetings. Contact your child’s teacher or Sally Springer for more information.

Fang’s Reading Club

The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers help get Ferber students excited about reading. This is an incentive-based rewards program in conjunction with great family entertainment. The program is offered in all classrooms, for all reading levels, and encourages kids to track their reading minutes, based on grade level, to work toward a free ticket to the Timber Rattler’s game during Ferber’s family night at the stadium (additional tickets are available to purchase at a discounted price). Time to get reading!!

Lego Club (All grades)

An after school club for Ferber students that meets 10-15 times a year to gather together and build Lego items based on a nightly theme. Finished projects are put on display in the library between each Lego Club meeting. Two rooms are set up, one for younger kids and the other for older kids. (Parental supervision is required for the younger kids.) A Ferber parent volunteer coordinates the club nights, purchasing new sets or bricks, managing the Lego bins and mini-figures, and the sign-out of the students.

Yearbook Club/6th grade

NEW THIS YEAR! All 6th graders who join the Yearbook Club are welcome to come ‘check out’ a camera in the office to take pictures to help build our annual yearbook. We always need pictures from field trips, class parties, the dance party, Fun Run, recess, etc. This is a great way to get involved in making sure your memories at Ferber last forever.
